July 22 was our 7 year wedding anniversary (yes I thought it was 6 but I was wrong.. lol) Anyhow, we had to conduct some business in Orlando so we ended up having a late lunch/early dinner at the Orlando Ale House, also known as Miller’s Ale House, Hiawassee location!
My husband ordered a Porterhouse Steak:

Porterhouse Steak
He was very pleased with his meal!
I was excited to order the Seafood Lobster and Clam bake:

Lobster and Clam Bake
And, unfortunately, I was not happy with my meal. The crab meat was not done and the lobster was over-cooked. The manager came out to speak with me as well as the kitchen manager and I must say I was treated very well!
After a long review of the menu I decided to go with the coconut shrimp meal:

Coconut Shrimp
And, I was in heaven! The flavor was amazing! The plum sauce was to die for!
It turned out to be an awesome time! The staff was extremely kind as they went above and beyond to make our meal a success! I can highly recommend this Miller’s Ale House!

This dog beach is the coolest of the cool “hot spots” for all kinds of dogs! No matter the age of your dog, they will love the thrill of swimming in the ocean and hanging out on the beach!
Let the pooches take a walk on the wild side at Fort Desoto Dog Beach!
Located in St. Petersburg Florida I highly recommend!Pack a lunch, bring the doggie treats and load up the family for a day of fun in the sun! Sea shell hunting and watching the boats, jet skis and all the classic water sports! We even saw a dog riding on a jet ski!

We met another dog family that was camping in a camper at the local campground on the beach. With water hook-up they were paying $40.00 a day for a beach view! Not bad!
Fort Desoto has a lot to offer including boat launches, picnic areas, beach with no dogs allowed and much more. Visit the website at:

This place has been my all time favorite “hot spot” for lunch in Gaineville. While my twins were attending the University I would try to take them to lunch with each visit I made and this would be our top pick every-time!
My girls loved the fact they also had wireless connection and they could enjoy to eat outside while walking their dogs!
Since the girls graduated last year I didn’t think I would be returning there for a long while, however my husband had an appointment in town so, I had the pleasure to treat him as we spent our traditional Wednesday “eat-out” event. For those of you that don’t know, my husband and I go out to lunch every Wednesday and I write a review in a blog afterward. Jimmy and I both had: Very Berry Turkey
Turkey with dried cranberries, Swiss cheese, and tomato with honey mustard mayonnaise.
I wish I had taken a photo of their “tea Machine” because it is a self serve type of tea maker that has several different choices. I like the unsweet tea and then I add my sweetner.

Lovely Atmosphere
Everyday they offer different flavors of Gelato. I went with the Cake Mix flavor and a Chocolate, topped with a wafer cookie:

Gelato
They also offer free samples which makes it a bit easier to pick which type you would like!

The Gelato Company
Every visit I’ve ever had there the staff has been most pleasant!
