It’s summer vacation time and this is the first time I have EVER in all my years of selling closed my eBay store for a full month! It was scary and exciting at the same time but I know the rewards will be grand because I can:
- No worries
- Focus on Family
I created this banner to place in my store header but soon realized the vacation settings for store owners does not allow us to insert a HTML like they used to so, I inserted the words on the store (AskDanna.com) and wanted to show off my banner on this blog. I plan to do blogging videos of our trip and blog about our travels while we visit the UK and Ireland.
The family holding down the fort at my home base headquarters will enjoy managing things while I am on the road. Renting out the home/office is the perfect way to ramp up the security while away as well as keeping the security alarms turned on with a monthly membership.
Securing the eBay store by pulling all my listings and downloading them into Turbo Lister will allow me to have them go live before I head home which will allow the sales to end using the auction format after I will be back in the office for a few days allowing some recovery time.
It’s important as a business owner to take some time off and walk away from the every day madness of running your own business now and then. I have put my store on vacation mode before but I have never pulled all listings before and I did this to protect myself from the possibility of a “watcher” slipping through the cracks and buying an item. I don’t want to have to monitor my store although I will check my email for messages.
Stay tuned for more posts and videos during our trip and I welcome your comments and input while we are on the road traveling the UK
