eBay Consignment Sellers, Resellers and/or Collectors Wanted

eBay Consignment Sellers, Re-sellers and/or Collectors Wanted/Needed

ebay consignment sellers, consignment selling, consignment, ebay consignment

Wanted: eBay sellers who sell on consignment, resellers, and/or collectors. Whether you’re a former eBay Trading Assistant or just include consignment sales as part of your business model.

I want to hear from you! You too if you, purchase and resell entire estates, or simply want to add to a treasured collection, I’m looking to send business your way.

Niche sellers and collectors are also wanted.

I just need to know what you collect and what types of items you’re looking for.

consignment sellers, consignment selling. local consignment

And just to be clear, I don’t want any commission for doing so. I only want to help the people who contact me daily seeking help with selling their stuff, but can’t or don’t want to ship it to me.

I average 10-20 calls a day from potential consignment customers, and I cannot help them all.

selling items on consignment

Instead, these would-be consignors end up stuck with their unwanted items. These are the types of people that have no desire to list them on eBay on their own.

I frequently suggest that they list them on Craigslist or LetGo or in the Facebook marketplace. In fact, I always recommend that for low-value items — but oftentimes they just give up and donate everything to Goodwill. I’d like them to have more and preferably better options.

I would like to pass along someone in their community that can assist them and meet their needs.

consignment directory

To that end, I’m on a mission to put together a reference database of consignment sellers, resellers, and collectors nationwide.

My goal is to be able to refer callers whose consignments I can’t personally handle to someone in their local area or who has a niche selling certain types of items — and that someone could be YOU. I just need to know about you and how to get in touch with you!

ebay trading assistant

To be included in my private directory, all you have to do is fill out the survey below. There’s no commitment; you can always turn down wannabe clients. All I ask is that you please follow up with each referral and give them a simple “Yes” or “No”. Or you can refer them to someone else.

CONTACT ME with any questions.

The primary goal is to find help for people wanting to sell their stuff.

ebay reseller

Again, I’m not looking for any compensation for this service. As I always say, “There’s plenty of eBay for us all to be blessed and prosper.” In the case of consignment sales, however, I’m having to turn down business that might prove profitable for you or another seller.

The payoff for me is that these customers are served…and that could pay off for you as well. This will become a “win-win” situation for us all!

Please review the form and complete the info as needed.

Thanks for filling out my survey form; I look forward to (virtually) meeting you!

NOTE: if you are LOOKING for a consignment seller yourself, I will do my best to assist. CONTACT ME with your location and what kind of items you want to sell.

Selling Lagenlook, Wearable Art, Magnolia Pearl, and Krista Larson via eBay Consignment

By Leave a Comment

lagenlook consignment

Lagenlook and Wearable Art clothing styles all the rage. A popular style among women, Lagenlook allows a woman to diversify a wardrobe. Consignment sales of clothing on eBay prove successful when fitting the Lagenlook trend.

But, what is it that’s so enticing about this style? How do you know if your items are suitable for the Lagenlook style? Finally, what does an eBay seller need to know about Lagenlook to ensure sales?

What is Lagenlook Anyway?

Lagenlook is a word stemming from the German word, “Lagen,” “lay or layer.” Hence, the term Lagenlook becomes “Layered Look.” Some people describe the look as a trendy, hippie, boho style. Others call the trend in fashion as quirky, funky, and cute style.

With the diversity in looks a woman can create, it lets women get the most for her fashion-buck! Lagenlook-style is something travelers appreciate too, as it allows for layering of attire. With the layering of clothing, you’re always at the ready for sudden or unexpected changes in climate.

Beginning in London, Lagenlook is a no-rules street style. The trend involves layering and draping unstructured, asymmetrical clothing pieces. Complementary colors make for intriguing looks.

The layering of the attire allows for average and plus sized women to look spectacular in the style. Why? Because the clothing hangs or drapes of the body in complementary ways. Lagenlook is like an Art to Wear style. It lets the wearer hide imperfections and emphasis the parts of the body they desire.

What Are the Benefits of the Lagenlook Style?

As mentioned above, the prime benefit for Lagenlook style lovers is wardrobe diversity. The ability to layer attire and change looks stretches a person’s wardrobe budget. But, there are even more benefits to this trendy style. With Lagenlook styles, a fashionista gains all the following benefits:

  • Ability to make a fashion statement that’s unique and expressions one’s personality
  • Integrating new and vintage clothing for a one-of-a-kind look
  • Allow for mixing and matching designer brands with a fun and chic layered look
  • Almost any brand or designer fits into a Lagenlook appearance.
  • Victorian-style and flowing attire also works well with the look
  • Second hand items fit right into the Lagenlook trend

Popular Lagenlook Sales on eBay

A look on the sold items on eBay will show you what items of a particular styles are popular. Enter “Lagenlook” in an eBay search. Then, specify “sold only” items in the search refinement options. The listings of successful sales give you a fast visual of current buyer demand. It also gives you an idea about appropriate item pricing.

Some of the most popular items include short sleeve vests, tunic tops, and jumper tunics. Lagenlook attire is eye catching with plenty of variety in color selections too. The color variations allow the buyer to invest in clothing that’s appealing. It also allows for interesting combinations of the different pieces.

Dresses, sweaters, coats, and jackets are also among the popular choices. There’s no end to the list of apparel eBay shoppers are seeking to create a Lagenlook mix. For pants, the leggings and Ali Baba leggings that crop up a few inches above the ankle are fast sellers. Lagenlook baggy harem jumpsuits also appear as some faster selling items. The ability to mix and match makes the clothing so appealing in the first place.

Here’s a quick summary list of popular items perfect for the Lagenlook style. Consider selling these fast-sale pieces if you want to sell via consignment:

  • Vests
  • Sweaters
  • Skirts
  • Single-piece attire with special designs creates a layered illusion
  • Short sleeve tunic tops
  • Lacey tops, sheer blouses, and tunics or tops with asymmetrical designs
  • Jumpsuits
  • Ali Baba Leggings
  • Pieces of lightweight fabrics suitable for layering like lace, satin, or chiffon

Why Lagenlook Trends Equals Successful Consignment Sales

The clothing a woman can integrate into a Lagenlook wardrobe means diversity. But, it’s not only clothing diversity for the buyer. It’s also diversity of items to sell for the eBay and consignment seller. Any baggy, light, or color attire fits into a Lagenlook mix with the right eye for fashion.

Since you can mix and match brand-named clothing too, it means a seller gets more visibility on eBay. How? By listing under different brands and the Lagenlook key search terms. More visibility means more successful and faster commission sales.

Lagenlook and Art to Wear Styles: What Do They Have in Common?

The flexibility of the Lagenlook makes it like the Art to Wear styles today. Art to Wear or wearable art is jewelry or clothing that’s handmade. Art to Wear goes beyond being basic clothing. Creators of the jewelry or clothing intend to make a statement: One unique, and creative. The intention is for the viewer to see the clothing as a work of art.

Features of wearable art include:

Fibrous materials Sometimes unique non-fabric materials are part of the attire. Such materials include metal, plastic sheeting, and leather as examples.

  • Painted, virgin materials and fabric
  • Usually handmade and not reproducible in an exact duplicate design
  • Unusual prints, colors, and decorated fabric

Types of Art to Wear on eBay

As it is with Lagenlook clothing, Art to Wear pieces give a woman wardrobe diversity. A woman can mix and match pieces to create a look all her own. The most common pieces of Art to Wear eBay sellers offer include:

  • Tie-dyed and patchwork skirts
  • Tied-dyed and boho hoodies
  • Long tunics and dresses
  • Embroidered vests
  • Embroidered and patchwork coats
  • Colorful long and short sleeve blouses, many with a Lagenlook style
  • Cardigan sweaters
  • Boho, Lagenlook, and harem-style baggy pants

The Successful Sale of Lagenlook and Art to Wear Styles

The eBay seller must know everything about the products. Through research they can discover who finds such items appealing. Whatever the brand of clothing is, it’s the eBay seller’s job to know all about that clothing style. Whether promoting vintage Victorian-style clothing or brand designers, product knowledge is selling power.

If you are having an eBay seller sell your clothing for you, it’s a good idea for you to do your own research first. The only way you and your eBay seller will make money is if the products sell. Thus, you need to know if the attire you have is in demand. If so, you’ll have a better sense of what kind of money you can make when working with a reputable consignor.

So, what brands fit into the Art to Wear and Lagenlook trend? Creative fashionistas can make any whimsical, boho, fantasy, or casual brand work. Among such brands are Magnolia Pearl and Krista Larson. The latter designer brands are popular selling eBay items, especially through consignment.

Magnolia Pearl Sales on eBay

The clothing from the Magnolia Pearl line features a revere for the old and classic. Robin Brown is the designing genius behind the creations in the Magnolia Pearl line. Much of the attire features things like tucks, pleats, and there’s plenty of lace.

Magnolia Pearl clothing is ultra-feminine and borders on the side of fantasy. It’s as if the designer is attempting to capture the surreal in every piece he crafts. Brown’s line of clothing is nothing short of whimsical.

Robin hand designs all her pieces out of vintage fabrics she chooses herself. Robin has been in the creative art industry for over sixteen years. She puts all her efforts into her limited designs which is happily calls a “labor of love.” She is always producing new pieces, but her limited run items make her work even more popular. She does not produce garments on a biannual or seasonal basis, but brings in the new every month.

  • The Magnolia Pearl line has fabrics that are “developed globally and naturally occurring.”
  • Some clothing in the line consist of antique and vintage materials.
  • The attire is something Robin styles individually to meet the need of the wearer
  • Magnolia Pearl clothing is cohesive, free flowing, adaptive sexy, timeless, and iconic
  • Many art collectors are fond of Robin’s work
  • Each piece of attire is art to wear
  • The wearable art is rare and exudes an air of originality

Who Does the Magnolia Pearl Line Appeal to Anyway?

Many women seeking casual or dress wear find Magnolia Pearl attractive. Much of the attire is casual. There are tee shirts and bloomers, but there are fantastic dresses for summer or lite office wear too. Some items have art as a design, reminiscent of wearable art. Many art collectors covet Robin’s clothing designs as well.

The flagship store for Magnolia Pearl designs is like a step back in time. It’s at Highway 290 East in Fredericksburg, Texas, where it emanates an old-world style and feel. For those who may never have time to visit Texas, they can still find items on eBay. The opportunity to buy Magnolia Pearl Lagenlook and Art to Wear is appealing.

There are items in the Magnolia Pearl line that’s perfect for those who love the Lagenlook. Layering clothes is easy with the often-baggy items one can buy from this brand name. So, what else does the Magnolia line offer the chance for consignment sales?

  • Antique dresses
  • Bloomer pants

Ocala eBay Consignment

I’ve had the pleasure to meet a local gal named Phyllis. She recently brought me a few items to sell for her on eBay.  The first item is a pipe in the original custom case.  It’s signed and dated: 1974 by Ismet Bekler. This style is a Meerschaum Pipe.

Personally I’ve not heard of these before which is another great reason why I love what I do because of the learning opportunities like this. Researching products that are unfamiliar helps build my knowledge of seeking out the goods for selling on eBay.

My first search always starts with Terapeak and Worthpoint. Worthpoint allows me to dig even deeper and further back to items that have sold longer than 90 days. Terapeak only goes back 90 days while Worthpoint goes back years!  Terapeak is perfect for “current market values” while Worthpoint is perfect for identification and past selling points.  I love using both of these research tools. Especially for the type of items that my new friend Phyllis has brought me.

The highest selling pipe I found on Terapeak sold for $250.00 and it was what they called “Well Seasoned” with frontier face:

Ismet Bekler pipe

Our pipe is used but is not “well seasoned.” Terapeak shows the average selling price at $147.83 for these types of pipes.  With a suggested auction starting price of $41.58.  Based on this research, I feel the odds are in our favor to start the auction at $49.99.  View the live listing, eBay item # 401139574397. SOLD $73.00 with 4 bids.

ocala ebay consignment pipe listed

FYI Worthpoint showed the listing that sold for the highest was on March 11, 2014. It was a set of five “Sherlock Holmes” pipes that were all new in original packaging sold for $1,250.00 on eBay. (see photo below from Worthpoint) :

Sherlock Holmes pipe set

FYI, I also found a French Poodle pipe sold for $167.50 in 2013!

The second item from Phyllis is even more interesting than the pipe and it too had a name I’ve not heard of: Cornelius Girandole. This name is most famous for the design of Candleopra type candle holders that had crystal prisms hanging from them. From my research, these usually came in sets of threes.   I found one identical to the design of ours on Worthpoint:

photo from worthpoint

This 3 piece set sold for $5,676.00 on Nov. 19, 2005.  The author’s description read:

  • Three piece gilt brass girandole set
cornelius & company, philadelphia, mid 19th century
The candelabrum base depicting an explorer with two American natives, suspended with long paneled prisms on rectangular marble plinth, together with two candlesticks of three squirrels eating acorns on rectangular plinths. The candelabrum is marked Cornelius.
    Candlestick H: 14 3/4 in.

The current market value has dropped considerably on these with only a few sold in the last 90 days. One person was asking $189.00 for a set of three (they were different than our pattern) but they did not sell.  I do see they have relisted them again on eBay:

antique candle holders

Our situation is a bit different from these listings because we only have the center figure on the marble base.  No holders included. Which means our value will be even less.  The only attraction for this type of item is for the serious collector or someone that would be willing to electrify it and transform it into a new lamp or a newer type of “art” piece.

With even more research, it seems the frontier man on this figurine has a name of “Natty Bumppo” which has been identified from Wikipedia: Natty Bumppo, the child of white parents, grew up among Delaware Indians and was educated by Moravian Christians.[1][2] In adulthood, he is a near-fearless warrior skilled in many weapons; chiefly the long rifle. He is most often shown alongside his Mohican foster-brother Chingachgook.

What we do have going for us is the markings and the story behind the original design which we can borrow from the Worthpoint description that actually came from an Auction House.  Items like this are a “roll-of-the-dice” so we need at least two people who really want it!  **rubbing my hands together now and blowing on the dice** Starting the auction at $24.99 –

Natty Bumppo Mohican foster-brother Chingachgook

eBay item # 401139632216. SOLD $24.99 with only 1 bid.

The last item we have today is a candy dish from Waterford Ireland. It has the original sticker in place. However it has a little chip on the edge. Such a bummer.  Waterford crystal was not selling very well on eBay the last time I checked and I chip can make things a bit worse so, we will see. Let the researching begin starting with Worthpoint to see if I can identify the design.

I couldn’t believe it! The very first item that pulled up in Worthpoint was an identical match to our candy dish! How lucky was that? But the luck was not in the sale. It only sold for $15.00 on eBay in May 2014 and it had no chip. Darn!  However, I did find one on Terapeak that recently sold for $59. at auction on eBay. So there is hope!  Starting the bid at $4.99 to spark some interest.

waterford ireland candy dish

eBay item # 401139648468. SOLD $4.99 with only 1 bid.

Feel free to check back to see what the items sold for or if there were no sales then the items will be relisted and the new item numbers will be posted. This process will continue until everything is sold.

Happy eBay selling!

Tampa FL eBay Consignment

By 4 Comments

One of the best parts of being an eBay consignment seller is that I get to meet folks from all over the world. Through consignment selling, I’ve made some of the most wonderful friends!

Hailing from Tampa, Florida, my new friends “Joanne and Charles” brought me some fun and interesting items. Feel free to follow along while I start the process of listing these items on eBay!

NOTE: If you have items to be considered for consignment, visit my “Consignment page” to learn more and contact me about your items.

First up is an effects pedal for a guitar by Marshall. It’s called a Guv’Nor Push pedal GV-2. My research always starts with Terapeak and today’s results show a 26% sell through rate with the average price of $53.43.  I did find one that sold for $88.88 which was new, in the box from Japan, eBay item # 272132761135.

There are several current listings on the site with the lowest auction starting at $39.99 and the highest buy-it-now price set at $90.24 from Germany.  Based on this research an auction is not a good idea for this item. I’ll start the asking price just below the highest USA price of $69.99 eBay item # 222091083550. Our listing is LIVE eBay item # 391458988579. SOLD $64.99

Pedaltrain makes top-of-the line metal cases to hold fragile sound and music equipment. The case I’ve been researching does not have all the higher end items that go inside. Research shows someone selling new cases for $189.00 on a regular bases. eBay item # 381554016261 and there are a few others listed at a lower price. I also found an auction with an opening bid of $99.99 that ended with one bid so it sold at that price. This is very heavy so it will have an impact on price. The $189.00 seller is including free shipping.  I will not be including free shipping on this item so I think I will also go with the auction route with an opening bid of $89.99 and hope for more bidders! eBay item # 401121994100. SOLD $101.00 – Canceled Sale – This does happen sometimes and in this situation the person backed out of the listing. No worries, I sent a “second chance offer” to the next bidder and he bought it for only a $1.00 less than the other guy so it worked out fine! SOLD $100.00.

WaveMaster Pro, set of two Microprocessor Pump controls I’ve decided to combine the two of them together as a fixed price listing at the price of $94.00 including make an offer. eBay item # 391459112860.

Deluxe memory Man – Electro-Harmonix – This is an interesting item that I’ve never seen before. Items like this make me love my job even more because I love to keep learning. I did find an item that is the same brand but a different style that sold for $672.00. Too bad we don’t have that one right? eBay item # 291651843754.  The one that we have for sale varies in price. Unfortunately we don’t have the power cord for this one which does make the value drop a bit.  Currently on eBay there is a comparable model selling for $168.00, eBay item # 141019972913. Looks they have sold a few of them.  After deeper research I finally found the same model of the one we have that sold for $221.00.  Another awesome selling feature in our favor is the fact that this item has fantastic product reviews. Based on my research, I found a recent auction that ended on May 10, 2016 with a starting bid of $140.00 and sold for $165.50 eBay item # 222106521661.  I’ve decided to run an auction with a starting price of $149.99 eBay item # 401122000949. NO SALE – Relisted – eBay item # 401131896169

According to Terapeak the average selling price on auction for the MXR Smartgate is $53.70 with a 55% sell through rate is pretty good.  Their suggested starting price is $30.00. Based on these results I will list this one with a starting bid of $29.99 – eBay item # 391459251458. SOLD $64.00

High Gain Foot Pedal by Dunlop has a very low sell through rate. I did find a brand new one sold for $89.99, eBay item 151952771322 but it seems to be a slow selling, low demand type of item. Currently there are about 15 of these listed on eBay CLICK TO VIEW with the lowest at $29.99 but it is not in the greatest condition and they are charging $14.95 shipping. eBay item # 162055028490 – Based on this information I will list ours as a Fixed price with make an offer at $58.00 and free shipping, eBay item # 391459249041. SOLD $58.00.

The Dunlop CAE Wah-MC404 pedal has a 51% sell through rate according to Terapeak. That rate is based on 70 listings in the last 90 days with most of them listed as fixed price with an average selling price of $120.00. I did find one that sold for $169.99 and it did include some cables. They actually sold 16 of these. eBay item # 251567267212. Unfortunately our pedal does not include the power adapter so this will bring down the price a bit.  I’ve decided to start this one as an auction with a starting price of $51.39 based on the condition. eBay item # 391461011892. SOLD $94.01.

Tech 21 NYC Double Drive 3X MOD Overdrive Distortion Boost Guitar Effect Pedal box was a bit tough to research because of the different words to search for.  I did find a few listed currently on eBay with original box and cords. Based on research I decided to run an auction with free shipping, starting bid $49.99, eBay item # 401123128585. SOLD $67.56.

Loop Master – yes you read it correctly and it’s not something you use to make potholders!  It’s actually a “switch” strip or long board that allows guitar players to “loop” their sounds.  Aka True bypass loopers or metal switches. Personally, I never knew until I visited the website : http://www.loop-master.com/ I was able to gain a lot of educational knowledge at the site about these types of loops and most importantly which types of keywords to use for my listing because there isn’t many listed on eBay nor have many sold over the last few months. This one has 7 loops and the best sellers have 8. Like this one that recently sold for $200.00 on May 1, 2006 eBay item # 121968801684.  After much research I decided to run an auction with a starting bid of $49.99 and include free shipping.  This type of listing style will let the marketplace decide on the value. eBay item # 401123126601. SOLD $103.51.

Ultralink Pro Ultra-Flexible 8-Channel Splitter/Mixer Model MX882 is not a big money item but it does have a good sell through rate according to Terapeak with a 50% sell through and an average price of $50.09! One is also currently lissted on eBay as a buy-it-now for $40.00. Based on those statistics they also include new in the box and with cables/cords.  We’ll start our auction at $24.99 and roll the dice! eBay item #401123408148. SOLD $42.00

Sonance SONAMP 260 – This is a heavy, solid amplifier! Research shows it it has a 39% sell through rate with an average selling price of $69.58. I am hoping we can do better than that because I did find the highest priced sale recently was a set of two that sold for $200.00 eBay item 331778186410. After taking a look at the auction results, the risk is high it would sell low on auction, so I’ll list this as a fixed priced item with make an offer. eBay item #391461704977.

Nakamichi DR-3 2 HEAD Cassette Deck Player – This is a hard to find item according to my research.  Terapeak showed with only 5 listings, an 80% sell through rate. Only one did not sell :

Nakamichi DR-3 2 HEAD Cassette Deck Player

There is currently one listed on eBay for $199.99 and they are not offering international shipping. eBay item # 301940379355. They also have a long view of terms which should work in our favor! Based on my research findings, on items like this I like to “roll the dice” with a 10 day auction and a low starting bid! Let the games begin: eBay item # 401123597707.  SOLD $103.50

Who remembers VHS? It won’t be long for kids to have no clue what in the heck it means!  This is a classic VHS tape player by SONY. While running a quick Terapeak search for Sony vhs players it seems there are many different styles. SLV-N71 is the model on our unit. The average price on this one is only about $38.00 and unfortunately we don’t have a remote. There are quite a few currently listed with one as low as $29.99 as a buy-it-now with a remote!  So, in a situation like this I’ll run an auction and start the bid low enough to hopefully grab some bidders. eBay item # 401123919288. – SOLD $14.99.

Sonance Symphony Speakers – Set of two  621 SSTR Single Stereo.  These can be a slow seller and I’ve found some sell for as low as $19.99 so with that said, I will list the two together.  While searching for more information online I learned that these are no longer being manufactured. This would explain why there are not many listed. I did find one current listing with a used single speaker with an asking price of $89.99. I”ll list the set as a fixed price listing with make an offer at $179.99, eBay item # 391462353411. – SOLD $179.99! – CANCELLED – Buyer changed mind – relisted eBay item #

Next we have the Sonance Ellipse 1.0 LCR In-Celing Speaker which also is not being made anymore. I did find a current seller with a few, eBay item # 131446948961 His original asking price was $499.00 and now he has them listed at $199.00.  I will list ours for a bit lower at $189.99 eBay item # 401124024240. – SOLD – offer accepted $140.00. Shipped to Italy.

Roland GR-33 Guitar Synthesizer – This actually has a 76% sell through rate with the average price of $237.52 out of only 38 listed in the last 90 days. Based on that I’ll run an auction with that same starting price. The good news is, at this time there is only one listed with a high asking price of $400.00. Let the games begin! eBay item # 401124427124. SOLD $256.01

Schecter Diamond Series guitar Hell Raiser – First I must say what a beauty this guitar is! It did have a bit of dust but with a soft q-tip I was able to clean it up nice! There actually have been no sales in the last 90 days of this type of guitar from the “Hell Raiser” series but the name Schecter Diamond Series has had a few sales out of 784 listed with a 25% sell through rate. The average price out of that many is about $232.00 but we will shoot for much more.  However the “Hellraiser” types have a 35% sell through rate. I was able to locate a current one on eBay with an asking price of $399.99 so based on that I’ve decided to do an auction with a starting price of $375.00 and run it for 10 days! eBay item #391463189107. NO SALE – No worries, that strategy didn’t work. There is always a plan B 🙂 Now I’ll drop the auction price to the average selling price of $232.00 and run a 7 day auction. eBay item # 391475230303.

vx-7 Subwoofer Miller & Kreisel Sound Corporation – M&K –  Only about 15 of these were listed on eBay in the last 90 days and only a few sold but I’m not discouraged by that because many people were asking too much and when you do that it will tend to scare off potential buyers. One recently sold in March for $99.94 eBay item # 172126531775 however our woofer does not have the front cover for it so this may bring down the price a bit. Currently there are only 3 listed and they are all fixed price listings. The lowest at $85.00 but only selling for parts. The next up is $149.00 and they have 22 watchers! Wow!  The 3rd one is asking $215.00. So with that said, the decision is, to list it as a 10 day auction with a starting price of $99.99. eBay item # 401124551244. NO SALE – Relisted 7 day auction $49.99 – eBay item # 401131893822.

Spider III 15 Amp – Line 6 –  Out of 54 listings in the last 90 days the average selling price is only $48.00. I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting this to be higher.  This type of item goes to show, you never know. The highest one recently sold for $89.00 and another seller had one listed as a buy-it-now for $125.00 and then eventually accepted an offer of $75.00. There are quite a few of these listed right now with as low as a $20.00 starting auction price on up. One great thing in favor is that I have awesome feedback and a reputation. Looking at others listed they have zero or low feedback. So, I’m ready to roll the dice on this one with an opening bid of $19.99, ten day auction. eBay item # 401124735865. sold BUT the high bidder backed out and the second bidder was not interested. Relisted eBay item # 391475235200

MultiTrak Recording Studio MRS-1266 – Sorry to report that these have only a 12% sell through rate which means this item can be a “slow” sell. However there are only 2 from the USA listed currently on eBay along with several from Japan. There is one ending tomorrow, Sunday May 22, 2016. I’ll take a look at how theirs ends before listing this one. eBay # 361559768477. According to Terapeak the average price is $131.67. Based on this I’ll try a 7 day auction with an opening bid of $129.99. eBay item #391469776171. – I had to END this listing because someone brought to my attention that there is a RED SLIDER KNOB missing. I cannot list it again until this is sorted out.

Faller Z 2732 – Engine House kit – This is the kind of item to list on it’s own as a fixed price of $34.99, Free shipping. eBay item #401124741911. SOLD $34.99

90 z Scale Train Landscaping Trees – I decided to LOT together these 3 sets of trees to total 90 since they are new in package and start a 7 day auction at 99 cents!

  1. NOCH 42508 Z
  2. NOCH 42515 Z
  3. HEKI Nr. 301
  4. eBay item # 391463709832 – SOLD $22.27

BEHRINGER MIDI foot controller – Based on research this is listed with a fiexed price and make an offer  at $ 159.99 eBay item # 401128540146.

I’m happy we are nearing the end. The few final items I will be creating box lots on the smaller groups.

  • Lot of 12 Z Trains with Railroad staff – (12 items) eBay item # 391469877903 – NOTE, it seems these trains were not all Z scale. There are also some N scales mixed in. Bidders contacted me to let me know. so to avoid a return or refund I’m ending the listing and will list it again with the proper track types.   To do this, first I must cancel all bids placed on the listing. Starting with the high bidder of $40.01. I will then work my way down the bidding list of the 9 bidders until there are no bids on the item. Once we have zero bids I will relist it with the correct information.  Let’s try this again, eBay item # 391475187304
  • Lot of 20 items – eBay item # 391469920716
  • Woodland Lot – 13 items eBay 401129058945
  • Lot of tracks w/Transformers – eBay 401129080570 – We also had to end the listing for the tracks because they too were mixed with two types of scales. eBay item # 391475193874.

Large Z Scale board by NOCH – 401129106255

Next we have the lovely clock – This one has been a tough listing because it has no “brand name” or maker mark. Only marking it contains is “Made in Korea.”  – Bottom line, these can be tough to sell. This one seems bigger than the others and since it is not battery operated, this can be a selling point. Auctions do not do well unless it is a name brand so with that said I’ll list it as a fixed price with make an offer and we will see how it goes! eBay item # 391470114621.

And the final three:

  1. WII System – 401129138288
  2. XBOX 360 bar – eBay # 391470055853
  3. 2 Dynasty Door Levers – 391470066476

eBay Consignment for Liz

By Leave a Comment

My good friend and long time eBay consignment cohort, Liz, is back! And, this time, I think she may have outdone herself with unusual items for me to sell on eBay!

I get lots of requests to share my eBay consignment journeys. Folks always comment how they always learn something new about;

  • how to sell on eBay
  • eBay marketplace research
  • how to use Terapeak
  • eBay SEO

So, let’s jump right in and see the nifty (and, hopefully, profitable) items I’m selling for Liz on eBay!

The Imperial Puppy of Satsuma is a large figurine from the Franklin Mint.  It’s one of those types of collectibles you’ve seen as an insert in a magazine or in a TV ad. It’s the kind of item many people cannot resist. The unfortunate thing is that sometimes you think you are buying an item that will be worth something great one day and unfortunately this is not one of those Franklin Mint items.
Imperial Puppy Of Satsuma

There is only about a 9% sell through rate which means the odds are not in our favor. So to help it out a bit we will not list it too high and shoot it out as an auction with a fair starting price which will keep it safe in case it does only receive one bidder.

Starting bid $24.99 with free shipping which is the lowest price of any others listed live on the site right now. Our puppy is  eBay item # 401106458931 and will be listed as a five day auction.  Why 5 days? Because I felt it had better odds than a longer auction.  Now keeping in mind, this is not the strategy I use for all items. Only on items with lower selling odds. SOLD $29.00.

Tods Purse – Never have I heard of this purse line before.  This is one of those things that makes my job so much fun and that is learning about new and interesting products. Tods purses are good sellers. Showing on Terapeak a 21.15% sell through rate with the highest priced bag selling for $450.00! Cha-Ching!

Tods Purse Research

Now our purse is not one of the higher end types. After much research I did discover that our purse is called a Lady-D Tote Bag thanks to WorthPoint. I couldn’t identify this bag using Tereapeak. Worthpoint is a brilliant tool for projects like this. The one I found on Worthpoint sold for $295.00 on July 9, 2009.  However, that one had an additional strap and this one does not. It is also a chocolate brown color which is not a more desirable tone.  So, my call on this one is to do a 10 day auction and start the bid at $49.99 and roll the dice.  eBay item # 401106507469 SOLD $49.99 – the owner decided she didn’t like the purse and returned it. UGH I know but this happens sometimes. It’s all good. I’ve listed it again, eBay item # 401131975273

Part of this consignment package are a set of 5” Pewter figurines that have been kept very nicely in a large wooden case. The research on these have been tough because these are not the most popular types, which are the “Presidential” figurines made in the USA by the Lance Fine Pewter Company. Lionel Forrest is the designer.

The figurines I’ll be listing on eBay include 24 in this set of soldiers. Although they are all the same designer, it’s important to list each one by name. Doing so creates a better experience for the buyer and gives us an SEO boost as we’ve included tons more keyword qualifiers.

Lionel Forrest LANCE

And they are:

  1. Hunnish Warrior – 433-453 AD (with a removable spear in hand)
  2. Louisiana Tiger Zouave – 1861-1865
  3. U.S. Dragoon – 1846-1848
  4. Assyrian Warrior 6th Century B.C.(no arrow in hand)
  5. Colonial Light Infantryman 1781
  6. Crusades Knight – 1096-1270
  7. Marlborough Staff Officer – 1701-1714
  8. Samurai Warrior – 1156-1160
  9. English Civil War – 1642-1651
  10. Napoleonic Grenadier – 1796-1815
  11. American Infantryman – 1812
  12. U.S. Infantryman – World War I – 1917-1918
  13. Potsdam Grenadier 1756
  14. Roman Legionaire – 50 B.C. – 100 A.D.
  15. U.S. Infantryman World War II – 1941-1945
  16. Napoleonic Hussar 1810
  17. Spanish Conquistador 1519
  18. Landsknecht Mercenary Soldier – 1500-1600
  19. Crossbowman 1356
  20. War of Roses Knight 1455-1485
  21. Greek Warrior 336-323 BC (yes, that is what it reads) With removable spear.
  22. U.S. Federal Cavalry 1861-1865
  23. Saracen Warrior 600-1200 A.D.
  24. Viking Warrior 800-1000 A.D.

What an interesting bunch of soldiers!

Each one stands about 5” tall with an exception to the Potsdam Grenadier. Because of his hat he is 6.5” tall.

The highest set I could find that sold in the last 90 days according to Terapeak
was a set of 33 U.S. Presidents, eBay item # 252331272872 sold on March 24, 2016 for $742.50. And, according to WorthPoint that same Presidential set sold for $1,200.00 back in 2012.

Based on all the research I’ve done on these, my educated guess is that these soldiers are more hard to find than the President’s. And ours is has a lovely large wooden box measuring about 9” tall 13” deep and 20” across. Solid wood with no markings.  Blue felt covers the inside, top and bottom. This makes a great place to keep them safe.  The market value on the Presidents has fallen over the years. The average selling price for these types of figures by Lance was about $35.00 each!

Based on that, I’ve decided to list these at a high price and include make-an-offer because the owner is not in a hurry. This is good because it means we can sit on these for a while until an offer comes in that we are both happy with.

So, let the games begin!

I’ve decided to start with a 7 day fixed price and all offers will be considered with a starting price of $1010.00, eBay item # 391437404196. This will give me a “feel” for the current market interest. We can always list it again and change the price or an auction. High hopes it will sell for a good penny!

Well, the listing ended with no bites. So it’s time to start dropping the price. Round two, Fixed price with make an offer $989.00, eBay item # 401112423095. NO SALE – Relisted for a Good Til Cancelled list $899.99 with make an offer. eBay item # 401118578045

Nippon vases are beautiful as you may know but when you have one like this with roses, it is more than beautiful it is breathtaking with beauty!  Research shows these prices are all over the board with many not selling because of setting a high asking price.  I was able to identify the marking which dates back to 1891, the green maple leaf is ¼” tall. I also learned that fakes had a maple leaf of ½” tall so I’m happy we have the real deal here! Items like this, I like to allow the current marketplace set the price so I will start an auction with an opening bid of $9.99. Let the bidding begin! eBay item # 401108528333 – SOLD $125.67

abingdon and nippon

Too bad this train cookie jar has lost its lid. Although “Abingdon” trains are not one of the higher end cookie jars it would’ve helped a bit more to sell it with a lid and I did find a tiny chip at the tip of the train. After researching this brand, I found the highest price one that sold was a “Witch” and it brought in $1245.00 according to Terapeak. It sold on February 6, 2016, eBay item # 151968019577. WOW too bad we don’t have one of those!

Interesting fact I discovered about this company. It originally started out as a “commode” manufacturer from Abingdon Illinois in 1908. Then when the depression hit and commode sales slowed down they developed cookie jars!

This one could be used as a planter. I was thinking it would look adorable in a baby’s room or as a nice addition to any room for the train collector.   According to Worthpoint there were a few different styles to the train. One had yellow trim and others had pink around the windows. Our listing is the pink trimmed windows. The highest price pink window one sold for $152. But that was back in 2007. The prices have dropped since then. Most recent ones without lids were as low as $14.99 and high as $20.00. Ugh right?  So, we will take it out for a train ride and list it with a starting bid of 9.99 and hope for the best. eBay Item # 401108549843 – NO SALE – Relisted Fixed Price with make an offer eBay item #401118522657.

The two tall porcelain figurines took me awhile to identify since the words on the bottom are so hard to decode but thanks to Worthpoint I was able to nail it! The first one, according to Worthpoint is titled: 1910 CAPODIMONTE DI PIETRO FIGURE NAPOLEON ADMIRAL OF FRANCE JOACHIM MURAT and it only sold for $20.50 in October of 2016. Our figurine is an exact match. Worthpoint further reads: “The admiral of France Joachim Murat, he was the brother-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte, through marriage to Napoleon’s youngest sister, Caroline Bonaparte. He was noted as a daring and charismatic cavalry officer as well as a flamboyant dresser and was known as “the Dandy King”. The figure stands 12 ½ inches or 31.7 cm high, and is 3 ½ inches wide at the base. The piece is all hand painted and accented with heavy applied gold highlights. It is marked on the bottom with an “N” and crown mark along with “DI PIETRO MURAT” and the mold number “1261”.

capodmonte di pietro

The sell through rate on Terapeak is only about 3%. Not good odds for sure. But hey, we have them and we will give it a go!  I will put the two together since one does have a repair.  There are a few current listings on eBay with sellers having high hopes using high dollar asking prices. CLICK TO VIEW the current listings.  Because of the low sell through rate and low odds I decided to list these as an auction starting at 99 cents and hope for the best. OH BOY, bad news.  I just found more repairs to the other figurine so now these are for sure not worth listing on eBay.  I will hold onto them to return  and/or donate to Hospice per instructions.

This is a great example of how important it is to tune into the details. I wasted a bit of time if I had only cleaned them up first although I did learn a few things during the research process so it’s not a total loss. But honestly I will pass on these to list on eBay for now even if I do run into them while treasure hunting based on the current market value.

Okay, next up is a Pioneer Laserdisc player. Model CLD-S201. Price value on these are all over the board according to Terapeak product research with a 48% sell through rate and an average price of $73.26. Prices do adjust if the remote is included and/or some movies are included.  Too bad we don’t have the remote but at least we have the manual. Starting bid $49.99 eBay item # 401114071611. NO SALE – Relisted, Fixed price with make an offer. eBay item # 401118526284.  SOLD $89.99

Pioneer laserdisc player

We do have a lot of movies and I have been sorting through them. Some will be better to sell on their own while others I will create lots because they are heavy. It’s always important to research these types of items one-by-one because you never know, there could be a valuable one mixed up with the bunch!

Movies listed on their own are:

  • Aliens – #401108681249
  • The Andromeda Strain – # 391438360963
  • A Bronx Tale – # 401109684715
  • Star Wars – # 401109678738
  • Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back – #391440169862
  • Star Wars – Return of the Jedi – # 401109669537
  • Twilight Zone Vol. 1 – # 391440180719
  • Twilight Zone Vol 2 set # 401109284088
  • Jaws – # 401110253286
  • Jurassic Park –  # 391440844308

The rest of the discs I will put in bundles. And they are:

  • 6 Lot – ET + Misc # 401110322575– SOLD $19.99

    • 7 Lot – Racing With The Moon + # 401114055047 NO SALE Relisted # 391453395080

Reel-to-Reel Players I used to always grab if I ran into them while treasure hunting and this one is a beauty! Pioneer Mode RT-1011L. Terapeak shows a 21% sell through rate on this model with the average selling price in the last 90 days at $118.88 so with that said, I will run a 10 day auction and that will be our starting price! eBay item # 391439533649 SOLD $261.00

 PIONEER RT-1011L

I’ve sold a few Salvadore Dali prints over the years that honestly never brought in more than $50.00 as I recall but those were print and here we have an original etching with a stamp of authenticity on the backside. Very impressive!

It’s titled “EL CID” from his Spanish Immortals series. Nothing came up on Terapeak using that title. The sell through rate on “Salvador Dali Etching” holds only a 2% rate. The highest priced one sold on Feb. 21, 2016 for $200.00. The seller was actually asking $299.99 and he accepted a best offer. It was an etching of Van Gogh by Salvadore Dali. eBay item # 281941018845.

salvador dali el cid

Thanks to Worthpoint I did learn that there were 5 etchings in the Spanish Immortals series. The highest price the five together sold for was $1,999.99 in June 2015.  The most expensive single EL CID sold on eBay for $475.00 in October 2011 and again in 2015 and others as low as $185.00.  After this review I feel to give it a go with an auction, starting bid $99.99 and hope for the best. eBay item # 391439620692 SOLD $99.99.

This is a 1st for me to have received an item like this: Confederate Banknotes!  Just another reason why I love being a consignment seller because not only do I get to meet awesome people I get to learn about awesome items like this one! These type of banknotes do sell on eBay and it seems many of them sell for close to the value on them. Here we have a large One Hundred Dollars note dated 1863 and you can see the signatures are the real deal. I like the way they’ve been framed because not only is the large note at the top but below it, showing 7, four dollar notes from various years: 1865, 1866, 1867, and 1868.

Confederate Banknote

I’ve decided to run an auction on these with a starting bid of $49.99. eBay item # 391439719252 SOLD $49.99.

Everyone loves Tiffany! I’ve sold a lot of different items by Tiffany in the past ranging from Pendants to bracelets and today we have a lovely Holiday decorated trinket box. Although it is not box shaped, it is a round shape with a lovely lid. 1st step is running a Terapeak search with the words “Tiffany Holiday Trinket” and the results show a sell through rate of 40%. Nice! The highest priced round one sold on eBay, April 16, 2016 for $59.95, eBay item # 201558670442 and the highest price “square “ one sold for $60.00 on Feb. 21, 2016, eBay Item # 222025367107.

There are a couple currently on eBay now listed as Fixed prices. One is $75.00 and the other is $95.00 – CLICK to View current Listings.  One sold recently in March, 2016 for $34.00, eBay item # 111943472480. I noticed they ran an auction with a starting bid of $20.00.  Based on my research I decided to include two categories: 1) Trinket Boxes and 2) Tiffany. I noticed the other sellers did not do this as they either picked one or the other but not both.  This should help increase the odds and I will run a 10 day auction as the other seller only ran a 7. Little things like this create a stronger possibility of a higher ending price on this particular item all based on research.

tiffany holiday trinket box

I’ll start our bid at $34.99. eBay item # 401109564051 SOLD $34.99.

The Kenwood Stereo Double Cassette Deck KX-W4040 does not have a very good sell-through rate according to Terapeak it’s only 7% with only 14 listings.  I’m afraid the odds are not in our favor on this one. After taking a look at current listings, there are only 3 listed with the lowest working one at $51.43 eBay item # 331841679661 and they have free shipping. Based on these search results I will list it as a fixed price also with free shipping $51.00. Auctions are not a good idea on items like this based on the low selling odds. Ebay item # 391446180688.

KX-W4040

I actually changed my mind and raised the price to $74.99. Why? Because after I thought about it, this was the highest price of the one that sold according to Terapeak so I decided to list it the same because the lower priced one may sell and then mine will be the only one available so I won’t have to adjust the price later and since we’re not in a hurry it may be worth the wait! I did add a make an offer option as well so, we will see!

The final item from this collection is the “Cowboy Statue” which has a repair and a few chips, stamped Austin Prod. and dated 1972.

The highest priced figurine marked Austin Prod was an eBay listing titled:  “Afternoon Stroll Alexsander Danel Sculpture Austin Prod Woman Dog Large” and it sold on March 17, 2016 for $599.99, eBay item # 141911633279. I must share the description because this statue is not mint and it reads : “Beautiful Austin Inc Sculpture from Alexsander Danel 1989 Afternoon Stroll sculpture.  This statue comes with its Austin Sculpture card with information on the company and artist. Made of Durastone in the color of grey silver and black. There are a few nicks, corners of base are chipped, someone else painted,  but all around it’s a beautiful sculpture. Please see photos & use the close up option. Model AP 3559. Size is about 17 1/2″ X 27″ X 5.75″. This is the Large version, very heavy. My pictures are part of my description, please use the close up option and take a good look. This is by no means in great condition”.

After reading this and others that I’ve seen on eBay it seems “Durastone” is the proper type of these statues aka figurines.

I actually found a current one on eBay which is an exact match, eBay item # 282014186040 and they have it listed as an auction with a starting price of $149.95. It will be interesting to see how it does. It ends on Monday, May 2, 2016. UPDATE – I see it did not sell for them so they relisted as a buy it now with make an offer for $129.00 – eBay item # 282025467348

I conducted more research on Worthpoint and some cowboy statues marked  “Austin Prod.” did sell in the past years but not recently.  I’m going to be a bit more realistic and start the auction at $49.99 and roll the dice! eBay item # 401114116328. NO SALE – Relisted # 391453399244

Austin Productions

All items are officially listed belonging to Liz. It’s been my pleasure researching and listing this assortment of items. Check back to view the results. I will mark SOLD with the amount they sell for or if the item did not sell then I will post the new item number once it’s relisted.

Feel free to contact me with any questions and for those of you reading this that may be interested in having me list your items on eBay, please visit my consignment page and contact me with a list of what kind of items you want me to sell for you.

Selling Pandora Charms and Trollbeads on eBay

Pandora Beads Consignment Selling On eBay 700x500

Recently, a client presented me with the opportunity to sell her collection of Pandora Charms & Trollbeads. She’d been collecting these beauties for years but decided to move on.

It is my honor to list these for her and I will do my best to sell them at the highest price possible at the current market rate.

For those of you looking for tips on eBay consignment selling, this “live” tutorial will help you to better understand the consignment sale from beginning to end. Ultimately, we all want to make more money on eBay, right?

Make sure to read this article, bookmark it, and come back every few days so you can see how the sale of each item is progressing. Or, join me on Facebook & Twitter so you can stay updated in real time! And, of course, join my newsletter group to get tons more eBay selling tips that go ONLY to my newsletter tribe!

Consignment Selling Strategy #1: Terapeak & Research

Like so many items for sale on eBay, the market is up and down and all over the place. Collectible beads, in this case Pandora, are no different. Prices soar one week and drop the next.

Before you list an item in your eBay store, you must research it.

This way, you can make an informed decision which items are most likely to make money/profit on eBay.

Once you have this sales data, you can share realistic possibilities with clients, thereby helping to manage their expectations.

For this research, I always use my favorite eBay selling tool – Terapeak. Terapeak gives me an accurate, current market value of each bead. And, Terapeak is so easy to use!

Terapeak Tip #1: Using a few key words like the name of the bead along with the color will help determine the sell-through rate along with the average selling price.

Terapeak Tip #2: My research revealed that Pandora beads are worth more money (as a general rule) than Trollbeads.

Example: The #1 selling Pandora bead sold on Sept 12, 2015 on eBay was the 25th anniversary bead which sold for $1699.00, eBay item # 251892964859.  And the #1 Trollbead was a tulip locked bead, eBay item #131592231114 sold for $500.00 on Sept 24, 2015.

Consignment Selling Strategy #2: eBay SEO

How to Sell on eBay: SEO Tip: while researching, I discovered that some sellers list “Trollbead” while others will use two words in the title “Troll Bead.” Because potential buyers will search using these 2 different wording styles, I recommend sellers use both styles in the product listing title. One buyer will search “Trollbead” while the other may type in the two words “Troll Bead.

The highest priced listing using the two words was a Baby Troll (with glitter!), which sold on Sept. 20, 2015 for $405.00, eBay item # 321866185334 from the Netherlands.

How to list items on eBay – the right way

How you list items on eBay can make a huge difference in how much money/profit you and the client will gain. For more help in this area, read my in-depth eBay listing tutorial.

My client has an awesome assortment of Pandora Charms & Trollbeads! I’ve got them listed and am working hard to turn treasures into cash for the both of us.

Let the selling begin & let’s see how this collection of Pandora Charms & Trollbeads performs…

Trollbeads

Summer Butterfly – The most I have seen these sell for is $39.99 so I will run an auction with that starting price and hope for more. eBay item # 401011962935. Well, that little plan did not work. The bead did not get a bid. I will now relist it as a fixed price item and include make an offer. eBay item # 401016159215. Asking price was $44.10. An offer came in at: $39.00 and yes, I accepted it. SOLD $39.00

Jewel of the Sea Pendant – This trollbead comes in two parts and does seem to be a bit rare according to my research. The average selling price is $72.57 for a brand new one so it will be interesting to see what this “gently used” set goes for. I will start the auction off at $49.99 and hope for the best! eBay item # 391307975450. SOLD $67.00.

Giant Lotus – What a bold and beautiful bead this is representing a lotus flower. New on eBay they sell for about $49. I will go with an auction starting price of $34. and see how it goes. eBay item # 391308418820. SOLD $43.02.

Silver Necklace with a Fantasy Pearl. Original bag with the #54100 along with a bar-code on the side. It really helps to sell items like this if the original packaging is included. These necklaces are very unique. They were designed with a long chain so that you could buy more beads and slide them down the chain easily. Brilliant idea I must say! The new chains with the fantasy pearl are selling on eBay for about $114.00 and the used ones are about $97.47. Another important factor of pricing an item like this is, it has a very low sell-through rate at only 7%. Sellers were starting their bids at $77. with no sale by the end of the auction. Because of those statistics I will need to start my auction at a lower price to gain some interest. My decision is to start the bidding at $44.99. eBay item # 401020434793. – SOLD $44.99.

Holly Bushes – This bead was a bit more challenging for me to research. I did find one that sold from the UK for $23.17 with only one bid. This means that was the auction starting price. Another one sold in the USA for $24.49. They actually had it listed as a fixed price for $30. and accepted the offer of $24.49.  My call on this one is to list it at auction with a starting bid of .99 cents. The goal is to gain attention that they will want to bid on others and combine shipping. Fingers crossed – eBay # 391308494731. SOLD $16.27.

Green Flower Mosaic – This is a common type with several listed as a buy it now at the low price of $15.00. Beautiful bead! View current listings. Based on this type of research I will be running an auction with a starting bid of .99 cents. eBay item # 401020604074.SOLD $11.61.

Sahara Night – In the  last 90 days only 4 of these sold for about $32.00. There are currently only a few listed on eBay and none of them are located in the USA. Very interesting! I will list this as an auction with a starting price of $24.99 – eBay item # 391308749803. SOLD $24.99

In Your Heart – Interesting enough there are more of these listed by international sellers than USA sellers and only one has sold at the price of $49.99.  My research tells me these are not popular or it could be people do not want to pay the high prices that sellers are asking for on eBay. I did find a current listing that ends soon and they have a starting bid of $19.99 so I will list this one with a starting bid of $14.99 – eBay item # 401020907218. SOLD $26.00.

Fantasy Black Onyx Necklace – One of these sold in the last 90 days for $97.00 which was the asking price. Only 8 current listings are posted and out of those eight, only one is in the USA.  The lowest asking price I could find was $110.00.  It does not seem these are “high demand” type so I am going to try an auction with a starting price of $74.99 and hope for the best. eBay item # 391309196867. NO SALE – Relisted at $105.00 Fixed price with make an offer. eBay item # 391314211801.

Troll Tree – This is an awesome and interesting pendant! The average selling price is $57.47 with a high 75% sell through rate.  Only 15 were sold in the last 90 days. The highest price was $86.90.  Currently there are only 5 listed and again, none of them are located in the USA. I will start the auction at $74.99 – eBay item # 401021086569. NO SALE – re-listed at $84.99 with make an offer – eBay item # 391322749201.

Green Hematite – There was only one of these listed and sold for in the last 90 days at $24.99. Based on that I will list it as an auction with that starting price – eBay item # 391309514528. NO SALE – Relisted – $37.99 with make an offer – eBay item # 391322755617.

Silver Double Clasp – These are common and are not high value sellers. Going with the flow and listed this with a starting price using the average price statistics of $11.91 – eBay item # 391309976207. NO SALE – Relisted $19.99 buy it now with make an offer. eBay item # 401028402069. Offer came in and SOLD $14.99.

Elder Flower Pendant –  I decided to start the bid a little high at $24.99 to help increase the odds for a sale and include free shipping. This did not seem like a high demand type of item so we will hope for the best. eBay item # 401021407820. – SOLD $24.99.

Pandora Charms & Beads

Disney Ariel’s Signature charm has a lovely color from “down under the sea” I would call a sea foam color or aqua Murano glass. When they are new with the original bag they do sell for about $29.00 on eBay is the average. I will run an auction with a starting bid of $19.99 and hope for the best. eBay Item # 391296208893 – SOLD $20.50

White Faceted beads are a bit common. According to Tereapeak the average selling price is $19.72. I will take that as a fair starting price for my auction eBay item # 401020118612. NO SALE – Relisted $29.99 with make an offer –  item # 401028403465.

Oval Lights Purple CZ is absolutely beautiful! Bead has 5 oval CZ stones and is retired. It does fall into the “harder to find” category of Pandora beads. New ones sell for as much as $54.00 on eBay with an average selling price of  $22.43. I will list this one as an auction with the same starting price, eBay item # 391307964190. NO SALE – Relisted $32.99 buy-it-now with make an offer #391322764813.   Green Oval Lights listed the same style – eBay item # 391309558512.  – NO SALE – Relisted $32.99 – eBay item # 391322767249. And also listed are Black Oval Lights – eBay item #401021162742. NO SALE – we are not having great luck with these so we will take it out for a spin by pricing them a bit high with make an offer and roll the dice! eBay item # 401028407421.

The Snow Leopard bead is an interesting and unique type with an off white background and classic spots throughout. Each brown with tan spot has a bit of a “glow” to it. The average price on eBay is about $28.00 so I will list it as an auction with the recommended Terapeak starting price of $17.24. This is also a retired bead. eBay item # 401020167062. NO SALE – relisted eBay item #  401022964488.

The Pandora Strawberry bead is indeed worth gold if you have it in 14k gold! I’ve seen these sell for as much as $280. Now that is a sweet golden berry for sure!  The silver beads do sell for a bit less with an average selling price of about $17.24. Terapeaks recommended starting bid is $6.71 so I decided to roll the dice and take it out for a spin, eBay item # 401020391580. SOLD $6.71.

Retired Bonsai Green CZ bead is not a big seller. It has a low sell through rate at only 8% with a suggested starting bid of 99 cents and an ending price of $20.22. So, I will roll the dice and start the bid also at 99 cents. eBay item # 401020454820. SOLD $6.51.

Spacer “Trinity” Purple – The average buy it now asking price on eBay is about 34.00. The average selling price is more realistic at about $21.99.  After researching this I will list it as an auction, opening bid .99 cents – eBay item # 391308575526.  SOLD $21.50. Also listed this in Green – eBay item # 401021153089. SOLD $14.50.

Green Seeing Spots is a fun Pandora bead. It’s a green murano glass bead with raised white spots around the side.  The most valuable of the “seeing spots” charms is the 14k gold one that sold for $199.99 on eBay. The average price on the green one is only $27. You would think since it is retired it would be more in demand but for now, I am going with the recommend starting price according to Tereapeak at $17.49. eBay item # 401020538068. SOLD $32.00.

African Plains Zebra – This one is not a common one, yet the average selling price is about $22.50.  However there is a current list with the same bead holding several quantities listing them at $19.99 with free shipping, eBay item # 231737470054 . This makes it a bit tough to compete so we will “play ball” with an auction listing starting at .99 cents. eBay item # 401020549518. SOLD $10.29.

14k Gold Small Roses Spacer – Many sellers were asking $115.00 on eBay without success. Others managed to sell theirs for as high as $123. because of running an auction with an opening bid of $30.00. I like that style! “Pushing up my sleeves to again, roll the dice” with an opening bid of $24.99 – eBay item # 401020617603. SOLD $76.00.

Purple Hypnotic – Only 1 out of 4 sold in the last 90 days and it sold for $15.00. Several sellers do have them list at higher prices with the lowest of 19.99. I decided to run an auction with an opening bid of 99 cents. eBay item # 401020625510 SOLD $12.50.

Love You Purple Hearts – This one has a higher sell through rate at 52% of 50 listings in the last 90 days. The average selling price is $21.83 with a $9.00 average auction starting price. There are a few current listings for $19.99 free shipping. Starting price on our charm is $12.00 with free shipping – eBay item # 391308782439. SOLD $14.50.

Captivating Blue – And what a captivating bead this is for sure! The current market value on eBay is about $20. with a good sell through rate. This one I will list at auction .99 cents – eBay item # 401020802446. SOLD $14.50.

Seaside Kiss Blue Topaz – This bead has a lower sell through rate but in my opinion it is mainly because sellers are asking too much. Starting an item high or over pricing items can produce lower sell through rates. I did find one like this sold for $64. and it was new with the box from Pandora. I’ve decided to run an auction with a starting bid of $19.99 – eBay item #401020821103. SOLD $20.49.

Promise Charm Barrel Bead w/black – The average price is about $20.00 so we will list this one with a low starting bid – eBay item # 401020863199. SOLD $18.81.

Dragonfly Pendant – I was surprised to see a charm this large in size by Pandora! It is very cool and it does have a nice sell through rate! I did find one that sold on eBay for $89.99 so fingers cross ours will pull in a nice price at auction. With only a few listed I think odds are in our favor it will do well. I will start the bidding at $24.99. eBay item # 391309155930. SOLD $51.00.

Captivating Blue was the name given by the owner but upon my research the actual name is Fascinating Blue –  This pretty blue does have a high sell through rate, however I did find a little nick on it so we will see how the bidding goes – Selling as-is with a flaw – eBay item # 391309127867. SOLD $15.00.

Golden Faceted – This is a common bead that does sell for less than $20. so we will give it a try with an opening bid of 99 cents. eBay item # 391309215604. SOLD $22.03. (WE DID GOOD ON THIS ONE)

Seeing Spots Black – Now in my opinion this beads looks more green in color but I see others also calling this bead black with the same spots that also look a bit blue to me so I listed it as black and included my opinion in the description. eBay item # 401021075225. SOLD $11.50.

Purple Ocean Wave – The average selling price is $30. with an excellent sell through rate. This one should be a sure sale. eBay # 391309486000. SOLD $12.70.

Green Faceted – Factory sealed green faceted beads were selling for $33.00. Let the bidding begin – eBay item # 391309548482. SOLD $16.58.

Seeing Spots “light” blue – This one looks like a powder blue or a baby blue – $26.92 is the average selling price. I will start at about the same price. eBay item # 391309530555. SOLD $26.91.

Petite Facets Green – I like the delicate style to this bead which is not bulky or chunky like the others. Quite dainty and the green has more of a foam or light lime green color to me. This does have a high sell through rate selling for as much as $35.00 and low as $16.00. eBay item # 391309999364. SOLD $18.50.

Adventurescent Midnight Black Stardust – This one has a few nicks on the silver which are not a big deal but it’s very important to point out any type of flaw to help avoid a return – eBay item # 391310049171. SOLD $16.50.

Teardrop Spacer Purple Amethyst Cabochon –  Tereapeak results shown a very low sell-through rate at only 12%. Based on these results I will list this as an auction with a starting price of the average $14.99 – eBay item # 401021417356. SOLD $16.66.

Many of these Pandora Charms, & Trollbeads have been listed as auctions. Please know that if they do not sell at auction I will re-list them as a ‘Fixed Price Listing’ with ‘Make an Offer’.

Selling Baldwin Hardware on eBay

By Leave a Comment

Baldwin Hardware Doorknobs eBay Consignment Selling 700x500

There is more to a door knob than you think.!

Recently a client from The Villages (Florida retirement community) brought me a few boxes of hardware made by the Baldwin company, located in Reading PA.

History shows the original company was founded in 1946 by Severin Fayerman. If you are interested in the history, take a look at the Baldwin Hardware website and read The Baldwin Story.

eBay is a terrific choice for people like my Villages’ friend who can’t return products to the place of purchase.

She’d bought all the hardware (doorknobs, hinges, etc.) for the building of a new house but the deal fell through and the house was not built. Since she could no longer return the items due to being long past the deadline, she might have been stuck with the doorknobs, hinges, and such.

Instead of losing money in this situation, she contacted me to sell her Baldwin items on consignment.

eBay is the perfect solution to liquidate items such as these.

Depending on demand, the top sale price may or may not be received. Nonetheless, my client feels that even if she makes “some” of her money back it’s better than none of it at all.

It’s all about the Terapeak research!

In every consignment article I write, I always talk about Terapeak. You’ll get used to it. LOL

But, seriously, I never, ever list an eBay item or agree to take an item on consignment until I’ve first looked it up on my beloved Terapeak.

I love learning about products and interesting items. Half the fun of selling on eBay is the education you receive while researching products.  Of course, the other half is turning the items into cash!

My research has shown that the Baldwin Egg Door knob with a nickel finish has only a 7.7% sell-through rate.

Now, that seems low but we have to examine several other factors before listing.

A low sell-through rate can indicate several things but in this situation it means the seller had prices very high and there are actually different model numbers. So even though the average sell-through rate is only 7.7% on eBay, it does not mean it will be that way for our items.

One item that we have the most quantity of is:  Egg Knob #95425.150.PASS. This knob is considered the ” Premium Hall and Closet” knob and is dated 2000. 100% solid core forged brass. It is non-locking and the box reads; easy installation. We have a total of 11 boxes and the weight of one box is a bit over 3 pounds. (eBay item # 400996706751 ) – UPDATE  (11/5/2015) – we sold a few of these $30.00 and $27.00 however I have discovered that several of them are damaged inside the box showing a few “nicks”. I am going to sort them out and relist using proper descriptions on each. This will avoid any return issues. Relisted – ( eBay item # 401022930684 )

Classic Knob 95405.150 PASS,, Premium Hall and Closet with satin Nickel Finish – eBay item #401022919234.

Luxury Entry Handle Set is called Logan by Baldwin and it comes with an Egg Knob. It has:

  • Entrance Function
  • Single Cylinder
  • Satin Nickel
  • Adjustable Backset

On this item, I decided to list it as an auction since there were several already listed as a ‘buy-it-now’ but they were not selling that well at a high price. My auction started at $24.99 and I used calculated shipping. ( eBay item #  400996773197 ) – SOLD $76.00.

I have three handle sets “Premium Bed and Bath” called Wave Lever handles. These are dated 2006 and are also new in the box. Research shows a 34% sell through rate which is pretty darned good! I feel confident to list these as a BIN (buy-it-now) $32.00 with Make an offer and I hope to sell them for no less than $24.00 each (eBay item # 400996836264 ) SOLD – Best offer accepted at $20.00 and $22.00 x 2 each.

Deadbolt locks have an average price of $36.86. We have four of them to sell on eBay. I decided to create one listing with a quantity of 4. Buyers can purchase one or more until the four are sold.  This is a nice strategy because you only pay for one listing and can still have several quantities. This is a topic I talk about during the eBay workshops I present with the USPS. Listed $49.99 with free shipping. ( eBay Item # 391265653663 ) One SOLD $35.00 and three are still listed.

Next I have 3 egg knobs that are called “Premium Dummy Trim” Bed and Bath. These are also in the Satin Nickel style like the others. These are not such great sellers so I will list them at $19.99 with $5.00 shipping and we will see how it goes. ( eBay Item # 391265720431 ) – SOLD two at $19.99 each. One left, relisted #401022893639.

The last set of three items are the Premium Bed and Bath egg Knobs. Model # 95425.050.PRIV. These are very good sellers on eBay with an average price of about $57.00. I decided to list mine for $57.50 plus $6.00 shipping. (eBay item # 400997454994 ) SOLD one $40.00 and the other two were sold and returned. They do have nicks in them so I will be re-listing them. (eBay item # 391312707745.

Last but not least is a Premium Hall and Closet Wave Lever handle. Surprisingly these are not big sellers. I listed it a few pennies lower than others as a BIN with make an offer and created a flat price of  $28.99 and $12.00 for shipping.  This will make it more desirable to those further from Florida. (eBay Item #400997469081  ) SOLD $23.00 and the person that bought this one also combined shipping with one of the other items.

I do have one more listing from this client that has nothing to do with Baldwin but I wanted to place it on the same page because I have no other items from her and that is a set of “Towle Stainless Steel” silverware.  We have 5 pieces to a set of 8. Lovely set with Gold trim on the handles.  Researching these many people list them 5 sets at a time. I decided to list them altogether as an auction and roll the dice.  (eBay Item #  391265829861) – NO SALE – Relisted eBay item # 391312632617 )

Note: I would be happy to list your items on eBay. Just visit my Consignment page for more information and contact me when you are ready to get started making money on ebay!

eBay Consignment Selling for the Wright Estate

eBay Consignment Wright Estate 585K Gold Earrings Danna Crawford 700x500

Folks always ask me why I take the time to create articles that track my eBay consignment sales. I do it because one of the things that gives me the most joy is teaching others how to sell on eBay.

Listing fine jewelry and misc items on consignment.  Each item listed below will CLICK to view the live listing on eBay. After the item has been sold, selling price will also be posted. If an item has no sales and was re-listed, the new listing item will be posted.  Check back until you see all items listed. A few will be placed at a time.

Thanks and **cheers** to making some money!

Watches and Costume Jewelry on eBay Consignment

Vintage Watch Costume Jewelry eBay Consignment Danna Crawford 699x550
Selling costume jewelry on eBay can be challenging. It’s important to learn about the style names along with understanding fine jewelry vs costume.

As an eBay consignment seller, I am kind of picky when it comes to accepting costume jewelry on consignment because so much of it can be a low selling. However, I will make an exception when high-end items are combined with the lot.

Mixing things up in my eBay store is something I like to do which offers items from low prices to high prices attracting all sorts of shoppers.

This page is dedicated to my friend “BG” that has consigned with me to liquidate an estate of watches and fun jewelry. I will post the listings here as well as the sold price along with the status.

Check back often for updates.
