I’ve been to many eBay gatherings over the years—eBay Open, eBay Live, and eBay On Location—but this one felt extra special. Why? Because it was the first big, in-person eBay event since before COVID. The energy in the room was electric. After years of virtual meetups and online connections, sellers from all over the world were finally together again in one space.

A Sold-Out Event Filled With Excitement

This year’s eBay Open was completely sold out, and it’s no surprise. The schedule was jam-packed with inspiring keynotes, educational workshops, and plenty of networking opportunities. From the moment registration opened, you could sense how eager everyone was to dive in, learn, and connect with fellow sellers.

Reconnecting With Friends & Meeting New Faces

For me personally, one of the biggest highlights was reconnecting with longtime eBay friends. Some of these friendships go back decades, and seeing everyone in person again was truly heartwarming. Of course, I also made new connections with sellers who are just as passionate about eBay as I am. That’s the beauty of these events—whether you’re a seasoned seller or just getting started, you’re instantly part of the community.

Staying at The Venetian Hotel

Another huge bonus was staying right at The Venetian Hotel, where the event was held. The convenience was unbeatable—just a quick elevator ride from my room to the conference halls! The Venetian itself is breathtaking, with its grand architecture, spacious suites, and endless dining options. Being able to enjoy the luxury of the hotel while also attending eBay Open made the entire experience feel even more special.

Workshops That Delivered

The workshops this year were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the session on AI and the future of selling. It was eye-opening to see how eBay is embracing technology to help sellers save time and grow their businesses.

Another standout was the VERO workshop. It provided valuable insights on how to avoid pitfalls with brand restrictions and keep our stores running smoothly. On top of that, I had a special one-on-one meeting with eBay staff where we discussed my eBay store directly. Having that personalized attention was such a gift—it showed me how much eBay values its sellers and wants to help us succeed.

A Special Moment With the CEO

One of my most memorable experiences was spending a few moments with Jamie Iannone, CEO of eBay.

It’s not every day you get to chat with the person steering the ship of such a massive platform. He was warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in hearing from sellers. That personal touch made a lasting impression.

eBay’s Generous Surprises

eBay went above and beyond to make attendees feel appreciated. Each of us received a $30 gift card to use in the on-site eBay store, which was filled with fun “eBay-anna.” I couldn’t resist picking up a mug and a fanny pack—two souvenirs that I’ll treasure as reminders of this amazing week.

But the generosity didn’t stop there. A week after the event, eBay surprised every attendee with a $300 e-gift card. Yes, $300! I was thrilled when mine arrived and I can’t wait to go shopping. It’s clear that eBay wanted us to walk away not just with knowledge and connections, but with tangible rewards as well.

The Afterparty at TAO Nightclub

To top it all off, the afterparty at TAO Nightclub was incredible. The music, the energy, the lights—it was the perfect celebration after such an action-packed event. Everyone was in high spirits, and it was the ultimate way to close out eBay Open 2025.

Final Thoughts

eBay Open 2025 reminded me of everything I love about this platform and community. From powerful workshops and thoughtful surprises to unforgettable reunions and new friendships, it was truly an event to remember. Add in the luxury of staying at The Venetian and the excitement of the TAO afterparty, and it’s safe to say this was an experience I’ll never forget.
