This new adventure is all about clearing out unsold items from eBay and other marketplaces, and trying a fun, fast-paced selling platform that’s caught the attention of resellers everywhere.
What Is WhatNot?
WhatNot is a live-selling app that blends the energy of a real-time auction with the convenience of online selling. Sellers go live and showcase their items while buyers bid instantly. It’s all about connection, speed, and fun!
Many resellers use WhatNot to move inventory fast and connect directly with buyers. Think QVC meets TikTok—but for resellers.
Why I’m Selling on WhatNot
I’ve been selling online since 1997, and I’ve learned that not every item sells the first time around—even when cross-posted on platforms like:
Some listings just sit. So instead of letting them take up space, I’m using this WhatNot live show to test a liquidation strategy that’s fast and fun.

This first show is all about cleaning house—and I’m hoping it leads to some great connections and sales.
Taking a Step Outside My Comfort Zone
I’ll admit it—I’m more comfortable writing listings than talking on camera. But stepping into live selling is all part of the growth process.
This new platform gives me a chance to:
- Learn how to sell live
- Connect with buyers in real time
- Move unsold inventory
- Prepare for future live sales on Poshmark
It’s a challenge, but I believe it’s going to help me grow my brand, build confidence, and learn how to show up in a new way.
Live Selling Could Be the Future
WhatNot isn’t just a trend—it’s a tool. And if it works well for me, I’ll explore going live on Poshmark next. That platform now offers Posh Shows, and I see huge potential there too.
This WhatNot experience is a chance to test formats, experiment with pricing, and learn what buyers respond to in real time.
Early Lessons from Behind the Scenes
So far, I’ve learned a lot as I prepare for my first WhatNot live show:

I’ve been watching other sellers, taking notes, and getting ready for my debut. Nervous? Yes. But also super excited!
